Trevor Allan Seavey, 24, of Gaylord passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Trevor was born January 13, 1994 and was a lifelong resident of Otsego County.

He was a prep cook and dishwasher at many of the local eateries during his short stint as an adult.

Trevor loved music, both playing on his guitar with his uncle and friends, and listening to it. He was rarely seen without a pair of earbuds in and Linkin Park, Korn, Eminem, Pink Floyd or some other band playing in his head. He also loved family and taking long walks, (because walking is something I can do while listening to music, he would say.) He would often combine the two by walking the five miles from his apartment in town to his Grandparents’ house outside of town to visit, coincidentally showing up at dinner time a couple times a week! He also enjoyed video gaming and Anime, especially the Bleach series of books.

Trevor is survived by his daughter Rya Mae Seavey of Gaylord; his mother Amanda Lynn Buschbacher of Gaylord; his father Kenneth Seavey of South Carolina; sister Jasmine Buschbacher; brothers Dylan Buschbacher and Trenton Buschbacher, all of Gaylord; grandparents Mitch and Lisa Buschbacher of Gaylord; grandfather Kurt Seavey of Gaylord; grandmother Karen Yax Weise of Anderson S. Carolina; great grandmother Leola Marquardt of Wyandotte, MI; uncles Mitchell Buschbacher, Jr., Scott Buschbacher, and Kris Seavey, all of Gaylord, and uncle Klayton Seavey of Petoskey.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Trevor, held at the Otsego Grand Event Center located at 610 S. Wisconsin Ave. Gaylord, MI on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 from 1:00-4:00PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements were entrusted to the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

  1. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear loved one. When a family loses somebody close to them who was as young as Trevor was, they have to wonder why their loved one had to die at all, but be assured that God has not abandoned Trevor but instead God promises Us in the Bible at Revelation 21:4, that very soon he will do away with death and sickness from the Earth forever, and then he will resurrect Trevor to perfect life here on Earth, surrounded by family and friends, which has always been God’s purpose for mankind and for the Earth.
