Timothy “Timmy” Struble, age 60, passed away at home on Friday, November 8, 2019.
He was born the son of Kendall and Ida (Lunger) Struble, on June 1, 1959, in Bay City, Michigan.
Tim was a very easy-going man who enjoyed living a simple life with his furry companion Bud. Bud was more than a dog; she was Tim’s confidant. She gave truth to the phrase A Dog is a Man’s best friend. Tim never asked for much but was always willing to give his time, energy and every part of his heart to the people around him… as long as you had a beer to offer up.
He had a very vivacious and contagious laugh. If you heard him laugh just once, you’d never forget it, and you couldn’t help but smile yourself.
Tim taught those around him that being direct, forward and honest was okay. He told me once, you can’t spare everyone’s feelings, that honesty is more important. A lesson I use daily. His kind heart, yet spicy personality was two of his best characteristics.
Tim was a forward man and appreciated the people around him that showered him with support and kindness. He valued his neighbors that would bring him a meal. The Otsego County Animal Shelter, who helped to keep his pride in life Bud, healthy and fed. And AuSable Home Care for providing home care services.
The perfect day for Tim included relaxing on his couch. Bud at his side, a cold beer in one hand, a cig in the other, and rocking tunes playing on the radio. Tim will continue to be loved and incredibly missed by all that took the time to get to know him. Tim was never one for sentiment or religiosity, but if you can find him in heaven, I’m sure he will let you buy him a beer.
To all that remember Timmy, I ask that you celebrate Tim’s life in your own way. Raising a glass of your favorite drink in his memory would be quite appropriate. Rest easy my friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
