Shirley Ann (Mida) Chudzinski, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020.  She was born on March 23, 1938, to Clarence Herbert Mida and Dorothy Elsie (Oestreich) Mida of Belleville, Michigan.  Shirley married Alphonse A. Chudzinski on September 14, 1957.

Shirley loved to spend time with her family and friends.  She loved snowmobiling, fishing, camping with her grandchildren, playing cards, bingo, and reading.  She really loved the trips she went on with her cousin, Lois.  Shirley enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh.  She was not afraid of work, no matter what it was; rebuilding engines, auto bodywork, building something, or working with cement.  She would just tackle the job, and no job was too big.

Shirley is survived by her children, Renea Clute, Bonnie (Louis) Rybicki, Scott (Julie) Chudzinski; Grandchildren, Mary (Andrew) Towne of Hillsdale, MI., Melissa (Kevin) Luft of Biglerville, PA., Steven (Sarah) Rybicki, Benjamin (Whitney Joyce) Chudzinski of Gaylord, Jacob (Erica Fredrick) Clute of Honor, MI., and Austin Clute; Great-Grand Children, Evan Towne, David, Emma, and Allen Luft, Abigail, Hayley, and Lydia Chudzinski, Mikaela and baby boy Clute, and Weston Hoffman-Clute; a brother, Charles (Katherine) Mida, and a sister-in-law, Katherine Chudzinski of Belleville, MI.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Al; her parents, Clarence and Dorothy; and many beloved family and friends.

Shirley was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  The family would like to thank The Porches owners, residents and staff, DaVita Center, Dr. Mazur and staff, Dr. Gossitt, and especially Michelle from McLaren Home Health Care for everything they have done.

A visitation will take place at Nelson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 12:30 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Otsego County Animal Shelter or American Heart Association through the Nelson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. We were classmates in Belleville and even after 63 years I still remember her smile and positive outlook.
