Sally May Meissinger, age 86 of Gaylord, passed away at her home on July 29, 2018.
Sally was born to Graydon and Edna Withey on January 14, 1932. In her spare time, Sally was an avid skier, loved to read and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Above all, though, Sally’s family and friends will remember her as a good, kind, and loving person, and they will all miss her greatly.
Sally is survived by her sister Carol Wehner; brothers James (Lou) Withey and John (Martha) Withey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Fred Meissinger; sister Joan (Patrick) Gillespie; and brother-in-law Larry Wehner.
In keeping with Sally’s wishes, the family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
Donations in Sally’s name may be made to the Otsego County Public Library.
Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

To Sally’s family and friends. Please except my thoughts and prayers on the loss of your sister and friend. Sally was a wonderful lady. She and Fred would tell us wonderful stories of their travels! The memories of Sally’s love and devotion for animals, especially her cats, which was truly amazing! But her love and devotion for Fred I will never forget. She was a fine neighbor and friend.
