Shirley Mae Rollins, age 82 of Grayling, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Shirley was born to Harvey and Ruth Burnett on May 20, 1935. Her favorite pastime was crocheting—friends and strangers alike would enjoy her hats, blankets, clothing, and many others. In addition to her chosen hobby, Shirley also enjoyed reading and was a devout and lifelong Seventh-day Adventist.
Shirley is survived by her children, Karen Mangus of Missouri, Peggy Sue Steiger of Grayling, Timothy Lee Rollins of Kingsley, Christopher (Amiee) Rollins of Frederic, and Robert Rollins of Mancelona; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Ruth; husband, Robert; and daughter Julie.
Memorial services will be held at Resurrection Life Church in Grayling on Sunday, February 18, at 3:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shirley’s family for future designation.

I will miss my mother in law who became more like a mom to me ! One day I will see her again but until then she is forever in my heart !
I was a care taker for this sweet lady when I worked at northern pines assisted living. She was the light that brighten my day. Always had a beautiful heart and soul! She will be missed by many loved ones. Rest in peace beautiful.
I will miss you a lot grandma, but you are now in a better place. Until we meet again, give grandpa a kiss and hug for me. You were a huge part of our family, save a Strawberry Sundae for me.
