Richard and Phyllis were our neighbors in Michaywe. They were such nice people and it was a delight to view their gardens. Rest in Peace Richard and enjoy your reunion with Phyllis. Our sympathies to their families.

  2. I will forever remember Richard as a true gentleman and very soft spoken. Typical of the Kettner family. Richard was 20+ yeas older than me, so I really didn’t have much interaction with him growing up, but Ralph and I did connect with him after Phyllis passed and enjoyed some lovely dinners with him at his club. Such a beautiful home in Michaywe. Uncle Dick and Aunt Fran and your lovely wife, Phyllis, have you with them for eternity. Rest In Peace, cousin. ❤️

Dickie, fond memories of your family visits with the Hendricks clan, to which I entered when married to Tom. We met when Tom & I we’re dating & you delighted in calling me Maggie “ Scallopini”. Always enjoyed your wicked sense of humor. RIP.

Richard rode our buses for a while. He was such a joy to talk with, all of us at the bus system thought the world of him. We are going to miss him very much. Rest in peace Richard. You are loved by many.

  5. Oh my gosh, such a polite and pleasant man. Talking to him on the phone five days a week as a dispatcher at the otsego County bus system, I’m sorry that he is gone.

  6. Dick and Phyllis were faces of the Michaywe community. Happy and active members. Even after Dick moved to the Brook, he was seen at many functions around the “hood”. Now both of their smiling faces are joined back together. May they Rest In Peace.

My wife and I have many fond memories of spending time with my cousin Richard. I will miss those long phone conversations we had together and will remember our wonderful visits with him in Gaylord. He always had a welcoming smile and a story or three to share. Richard will be missed.
