Richard Gail Welch, Sr., 77 of Johannesburg, formerly of Toledo, OH, was called by God to Paradise on Friday, November 3, 2017 in the comfort of his home. His passing leaves an immeasurable hole in the lives of his family: his sons Donald (Sonya), Richard (Cindy), and Robert; and granddaughter Ainsley Coral Welch.
Born in Toledo, OH on June 18, 1940 to parents Chester and Faye (Knisel) Welch, Richard was a graduate of Woodward High School. In 1965, he married the love of his life Anna Marie Roth, with whom he spent 49 years at the time of her passing. After serving in the United States Army, Richard spent 34 years at DuPont in Toledo. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #2495 of Lewiston and the American Legion.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie.
Richard will be buried at Toledo Memorial Park at a later date.

Sure had some fun times with your mom and dad when we came home. Although I never got to see them often, I have fond memories of him and will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Brother-in-Law. Will see you on the other side.
