Virginia “Gin” Maciak, 83, of Gaylord, MI, passed away peacefully, on January 11, 2022.
Virginia was born on July 3, 1937, in Flint, MI, to John and Adeline (Niedzwiecki) Maciak. She worked in banking until she retired from J.P. Morgan Chase. She moved to Gaylord in 2018, to be with her family.
Virginia enjoyed the theatre, playing bingo, craft shows, traveling, the beauty of flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death her parents. She is survived by her siblings, John Joseph, Jr. (Susan) of Jenison, MI, Patricia of Gaylord, MI, Edward (Mary Beth) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; her much loved nieces and nephews, Dawn (David) Eaton and their children, Lilliana Marie, Laninee Lu, Everlee Lunabelle; Matthew (Jane) and their children, Oliver, Addy, Annabell, Lilly; John Joseph III “Joe”; and Thaddus (Christine) and their children, JJ, Alpha, Apple, Angeline.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Cathedral, 606 N. Ohio, Gaylord, MI, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will take place in the spring, at New Calvary Cemetery in Flint, MI.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at The Brook in Gaylord for their wonderful care. They would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice nurses and special friends; Maddie, Elsa, & Joanne.

I’m Lilliana and the last thing she ever said to me was, I love you, Lilli. She also loved the ocean and each of us very much.
She was so kind to everyone around her and did whatever she could to help others.
