Helen M. Ususan, of Gaylord, passed away January 29, 2017. She was 91.

Helen Kosalski was born in Detroit on June 1, 1925 to Theodore and Helen (Kowalski) Kosalski. In 1945, she married Zamfir Peteru (Pete) Ususan, with whom she would eventually spend almost 70 years of marriage. Being raised among many, many siblings, and having even more children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, family always came first for Helen, and she always appreciated her time with them all. She also enjoyed cooking and doing crafts.

Helen is survived by her children, Raymond (Jean) Ususan of Imlay City, Danny Ususan of Taylor, and Bob (Barbara) Ususan of Vanderbilt; grandchildren Kari (Phil) Ususan, Josh and Joey Gallimore, Nikhol (Steven) Miller, Jonathan (LeAnn) Ususan, Lance (Sarah) Ususan, and Shay Ususan; and great-grandchildren Brittney, Adam, Noah, Mandy, Anthony, Jaxson, Davis, Tylor, and Logan.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Theodore and Helen; husband Zamfir (Pete); sons Billy and Glen Ususan; and granddaughter Lisa Marie Ususan.

Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 6pm at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm on Friday 3 until the time of services.

Interment for Helen will take place at Fairview Cemetery on Saturday, June 10 at 1pm.
