Magen Christine Sides (Andrews),  September 2, 1983 – January 8, 2018

Daughter, sister, wife, step-mom, Aunt Mimi, dog mom, niece and animal lover are just a few of the names Magen was known and loved by.  Magen was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Sides.  Daughter of late Brad Andrews and survived by mother Vienna Andrews; sister Tracie (Mark) Bourgeau and Stephanie (Freddy) Mullins.  Also survived by her step daughters Kayla, Carly, and Jenna; nieces and nephews Lauren, Aiden, Ashton, Ava, Haley, Bradley and Mary Vienna “Macie”.

Magen never wanted to be defined by her addiction – she was so much more than that.  She was a beautiful intelligent woman who fell into the grip of addiction.  Magen was feisty and outspoken but would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with her smile and sense of humor… even while struggling with her demons.  She loved her family deeply, wanted to adopt every animal she saw and play with every child she came across.

Magen will forever be missed and to those she has left behind leaves a sense of peace and comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering.

A private memorial will be held with family. Condolences and respects can mailed to Vienna Andrews at  910 W. Sheldon St. #202 Gaylord, MI 49735

I have a lot of fond memories of Magen from quite a few years back. She was definitely a person with a lot of spirit, love to give and always fun to be around! I will be keeping all of you in my prayers during this difficult time.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Magen left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she has passed, but that she lived. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Sending all my love, hugs and support to you all.

Vi and girls, Magen was a funny kid. She helped bring our dog Spike to us. She had helped rescue Spike and probably named her Spike before we all knew she was a girl. The name stuck. She and our Rachel spent many a happy hour playing together. What a joyous life when you think back on it. I am so sorry for this loss. It’s heartbreaking and terrible.
