Shirley Janette Bordeaux, age 86 of Frederic passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022.
She was born the daughter of Franck and Josephine (Devenbaugh) Brown on May 3, 1936.
Shirley loved serving the Lord and helping others. She loved gardening, her family, the church, and writing letters. Shirley worked at the Dinner Bell and the Crawford County landfill. She was a loving caring person and shined a light on everyone around her. She called everyone special, but what she didn’t realize was she was the special one.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Bordeaux Sr; parents; daughters Kathy, and Carolynn; sons-in-law Pat, and Jim; sister, Marrion; great-grandson Easton, and her great-great-grandson Aiden.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Amiee (Chris) Rollins; their children, Michael (Jessica) Rollins, and Shane (Lenora) Rollins; their grandchildren Caleb, Alyssa, Sophia, and Mavis. Daughter Salley Bordeaux; her children, Nikki (Casey) Brayman, Jessy (Sarah) Simmons, Carlee (Mitch) Matthews; their children, Blake, Emily, Tatiyana, Analicia, Aria, and Tyler. Son, David (Tammy) Bordeaux. Son, Joe (Tammy) Bordeaux Jr., and their children, Christy, Kalani, and Brandon. Grandson, Mike (Mindy) Bordeaux; their children, Zachary and Mike Jr.; grandson, Randy Bordeaux. Granddaughter, Janelle (Cliff) Peters; their children, Katelin (Mike) Freel; their grandchildren, Bailey, Michael, and Madison. Granddaughter, Tiffany (Cory) Bently; and their children Patricia and Wyatt. Granddaughter Chandra (Tony) Beck; their son, Vitor Garms, and his children, Reese and Olivia. Granddaughter, Miranda Demoines.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. June 7, 2022, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Frederic, 6536 Manistee St., Frederic, MI 49733.

So sorry for your loss. Larry & I have been neighbors of Shirley’s for 40 years. She was a sweet, funny lady. A previous appointment will keep us from being at her service. Know that you are all in our thoughts & prayers.

Indeed, Shirley was a bright light in this world. For years she would call me on my birthday to sing me Happy Birthday. I will truly miss both her smile and annual birthday day call. Many thoughts and prayers for all of her family.
MIss Shirley was one of the sweetest people I have ever met, always had a great attitude no matter what was going on in her life. She loved her Lord and loved to share Him with all who would listen. I will miss the many conversations I had with her but I am happy she has finally gotten healed of all her afflictions. My condolences to her family and all who will miss her.
