Words cannot describe what a tragedy this is, but that is all I have to offer in this horrific time. My heart goes out to all of you that were really close to her: family, friends and members of the community.

Rowan was kind, respectful, and courteous and showed a deeply genuine interest in learning and all of the possibilities that life could offer. I am forever grateful to have her as a student for two years. Her positive attitude and bright smile will never go unappreciated by any of us who were fortunate enough to know her.

In this short and too often superficial life on Earth, you just do not meet people that are as genuine as Rowan. This hurts deeply. I’m so sorry.
