Robert David Neuvirth, age 73, of Gaylord, Michigan passed away on March 14, 2021.

He was born to Karl and Mary (Pokrywki) Neuvirth on December 16, 1947, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Robert worked with Ford Motor Company for most of his life. He received on-the-job training to work in the high-pressure boiler room. He was also very proud of the work he did in his family’s Greenhouse business and continued to help through the generations of owners.

He married the love of his life, Linda Ligget, and together they raised their family before moving to Northern Michigan in 1999 after Robert retired from Ford Rawsonville.

Snowmobiling was one of his favorite past times, he loved living in this area in the winter.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Steven, and Amy; grandchildren, Carley, Samantha, Samuel, Martha, Rosie, Shawn, Linnea, and Shelby; 22 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Mary; and his brothers, Carl and Walter Neuvirth.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m and a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society. Donations can be made by mailing a check or money order to 9425 Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti, MI. 48197.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord MI 49734.
