Richard Lee Hublick, 56, of Boyne City, returned suddenly and unexpectedly to his heavenly home on November 9, 2020.
He was born on September 10, 1964, to Robert and Dorothy (Mumich) Hublick.
Semper Fidelis. Richard was proud of his honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corp. Patriotism ran boldly through his veins, and he possessed a vast knowledge of military history that he loved to share. Richard lived with pride, honor, and integrity, that spanned his love for God, family, and country.
Richard is survived by his father, Robert R. Hublick; and seven brothers and sisters, Robert (Jana) Hublick, Dianna (Steve) Schram, Dorothy “Dotty” Hublick (William) Kiel, Dale (Eileen) Hublick, Ryan (Patti) Hublick, Regina (Kevin) Jaeger, and Catherine Hublick. Richard held a place in his heart for so many, and he reserved an extra special place for his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Mumich) Hublick; his brother, David Hublick; and his sister, Dawn (Kyle) Bell.
To say, “You will be missed,” does not begin to describe the loss that our hearts feel. We will miss your unique sense of humor, the unconditional love you gave all of us, and most of all, your mastery of the most enjoyable, lengthy morning phone conversations over coffee.
A celebration of life as Richard is welcomed home by our Heavenly Father will be held on Friday, November 20, at 3:00 pm by Christ the King Church at 3801 Shore Rd, Williamsburg, MI, 49690.
The family is being cared for by the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord, MI, P.O. Box 1548 Gaylord, MI, 49734.

I’m so very very sorry for your loss. Rich was a very knowledgeable and kind man. We had many conversations over the years as neighbors and he was always there to lend a helping hand if needed. He will be missed by many. To Bob, you are in my thoughts and prayers
