Norma Jean Murphy, age 81, of Gaylord, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022.
She was born to Arthur and Elsie (Best) Burling on May 23, 1941, in Pontiac, Michigan.
Norma owned her own custom drapery business.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Lisha Murphy; and one grandson.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John; children, Leandra Jeanmichel of Tampa, FL, John (Cheryl) Murphy Jr., of Davisburg, MI, and Brian (Angel) Murphy of Gaylord, MI, six grandchildren, and 2 great grandhildren..
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
A private graveside service will be held after the visitation.

I will always remember you. We had a lot of fun going to euchre and bingo and you taught me how to do canning. You made my wedding dress. I was in this family for 16 years and I have a lot of memories you will surely be missed, Norma.
