Margaret “Maggie” Jeanguenat, age 97, a loving mother of 6, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
She was born to Jose and Beulah (Young) Gutierrez on June 11, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan.
After graduating from Eastern High School in 1942, she met her husband, Bernard, and they were married in 1945. They moved to Lewiston in 1983, where Maggie was a member of St. Francis Church, the Lewiston Lioness Club, and the St. Francis Ladies Guild.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and participating in many home remodeling projects over the years.
Maggie is survived by her children, Donna (Albert) Arbus, Gene (Nancy) Jeanguenat, Sandra (Harry) Colburn, Charles (Cynthia) Jeanguenat, Judith (Ronald) Castillo; ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Gutierrez; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; son, Michael; granddaughter, Nicole; siblings, Ann VanBeek, Betty Cedar, and Jose Gutierrez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at St. Francis Church in Lewiston, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
