Linda Elizabeth Louis, age 72, of Mancelona, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022.

She was born to John and Betty (Reaume) Wiltshire on October 3, 1949, in Detroit, MI.

Linda loved to love. She loved surrounding herself with family and friends, filling their days with sounds of music and laughter. Smiles came easily to Linda, and she shared hers as often as possible.

Linda’s love for music (Motown being her favorite) and dancing, shined bright. It blessed her with the ability to gain friends everywhere she traveled. When Linda entered a room, it wouldn’t be long until a song was heard, hands were clapping, and feet were tapping.

Linda claimed that she loved the game of golf…but she wasn’t fooling anyone. It was soaking up the warm sunshine and spending time with her friends that brought Linda to the course.

As much as she loved music, Linda loved her family and friends even more. All the way “to the moon and back,” as she would often say. Linda was easy to talk to and was always there for those in need of an understanding disposition.

Linda’s melody will continue with the songs that play in our hearts, the easy smiles her memory brings to our faces, and the dances we are certain to take. She will not only be missed by many, her kind, giving spirit will be missed by all.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Mark; son, Phillip Briguglio, of Warren, MI; stepdaughter, Amber (Bill) Stephenson, of Mancelona, MI; grandchildren, Will and Austin; sister, Karen (Jim) Skrinner, of Warren, MI; and brother, John Wiltshire

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Cynthia Wiltshire.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. from the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

  1. Mark, I am so very sorry you’ve lost dear sweet Linda Lou. She could light up the darkest room simply with her sparkling presence, and if she spoke even a word, the sudden joyful brilliance would be nearly overwhelming. Sadly, that bright light has now been extinguished. May you live on with all the many happy memories that dear lady made for so many of us! God bless you, Linda Lou.

  2. Our deepest sympathy to Mark, Phil, and all of Linda’s family and friends. She will be missed beyond words, she was a beautiful soul inside and out. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Michelle, and George
