Barbara K. Lewis of Lewiston passed away on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017. She was 71.

Barbara was born in Grayling on November 19th, 1945 to Kenneth and Marjorie Lewis. She moved to the Pontiac area where she spent a number of years, and later graduated from Brandon High School in Ortonville in 1963. A few years later, she was employed with Farmer Jack Supermarkets and remained with the company for 34 years as a cashier. She eventually retired in 2002. Barbara moved to Lewiston following her retirement, where she enjoyed spending her time doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and playing computer games when she wasn’t travelling. 

Barbara is survived by her niece, Marjorie (Kevin) Sholes and her children Kiara and Mason of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; and nephew Kenny Lewis and child Dakota of Aurora, Colorado.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Marjorie; siblings Judy, Roger, and Larry Lewis; niece Wave Ann Lewis; and great-niece Skylee Lewis. 

Services will be held Saturday, January 28th at 12 PM at Nelson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held that morning beginning at 10 AM and continuing until the time of service.

Contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the American Heart Association.
