Lee Ann Russell, 78, of Gaylord, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020.
She was born to Roy and Helen (Wedding) Johnson, on January 12, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan.
She married Herbert Russell on October 10, 1968, they were married for over 50 years until he passed in 2018. They moved to Northern Michigan where they started Northland Homes together.
Lee Ann worked in retail for many years. She loved her husband, dogs, and Elvis. Lee Ann was very energetic and outgoing. On warm summer days, she could be seen driving around town in her little convertible with the top down. She loved her sorority sisters who became lifelong friends. Most of all she will be remembered for her smile and how it could light up the room.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Lee Ann is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., from the Nelson Funeral Home.

A dear friend with many special moments we spent together. She will surely be missed.
OMGosh how sad… I worked with Lee Ann at Kmart back in 1994 and i just adored her… I am so upset that I just noticed while glancing through the Obits that she passed… I will miss seeing her 🙁
