Eugenia “Jean” Kubacki of Gaylord passed away at the age of 85 on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
Jean was born in Elmira to Peter and Victoria Skop on July 23, 1931, one of five children. Growing up in Northern Michigan, she was a farmer along with the rest of her family, a career she always appreciated and strived for.
Jean was a member of St. Mary Daughters of Isabella. She was also an avid crafter and enjoyed doing craft shows for almost 30 years. In her spare time, Jean also liked to hunt deer and play bingo.
Jean is survived by her children, Patti (Dave) Zaborowski and Ann (Randy) Campbell; grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff) Tober, Jess Campbell and Sammie Campbell; siblings, Ed (Edna) Skop, Chester Skop, and Richard (Christina) Skop; sisters-in-law, Kay Skop and Lauretta Skop and great-grandchildren/fur-babies Whiskey and Keta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents Peter and Victoria Skop and siblings, Donald and Leonard Skop.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Church in Elmira on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24th from 4pm until 8pm at Nelson Funeral Home with a Rosary being offered at 7pm. Visitation on Saturday (March 25) will be held at St. Thomas Church in Elmira from 12 Noon until the time of services.
