Kevin James Styles, 44, of Atlanta, passed away August 17, 2021.

He was born the son of Douglas and Donna (Payton) Styles on January 27, 1977, in Petoskey, Michigan.

Kevin loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and being an avid outdoorsman. He loved to go shopping with his wife Tammy.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and stepchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melanie; foster brother, Scott, and his aunt, Betty.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Tammy (Bright); children, Katelin (Nathan) Moyer-Styles, Brytanie, and Bryanna; stepchildren, Lucas, Chloe, Gabrielle, and Courtney VanDerKeere; grandson, Cullen Moyer; siblings, Mark (Susan) Styles, Brian (Kim) Styles, Joy (Donovan) Miller, Aaron (Samatha) Styles, and Melinda (Harley) Guethlein; along with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 135 N. Center Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear about Kevin. Kevin and I knew each other from my mother although our time knowing each other was short it’s so unfortunate he passed. He will forever be remembered and I will be attending the funeral service to memorize him.

  2. I am so sorry for everyone’s loss,especially for my girls Katelin,Brytanie,& Bryanna Styles ,his wife Tammy and her kids (Kevin’s step children) & the Styles family …R.I.P Kevin you will be missed by many .
