Herbert George “Herb” Reed, 58, of Gaylord, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021.
He was born the son of Harold and Emma (Rigley) Reed on January 18, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan.
He was a handyman who enjoyed going to the casino or hanging out and watching a Red Wings hockey game. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Virginia; siblings, Joe Reed, Fred Stoll, Timmy Reed, Susan Reed; grandson Xavier DaShawn Fletcher, and favorite dog Buttercup.
He is survived by his lifelong partner, Sherry Heidman; children, Suzanna (Brandon Fletcher) Reed, Ashley Reed, and Dena Reed all of Clarksville, TN, Michael (Emily) Graus and Tiffany (Kyle) Firman of Gaylord, MI; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Kathy) Stoll, Ruthie Reed, Charlie (Giny) Reed, David Reed, Ray Stoll and Michael Stoll; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.
The family has chosen to remember Herb privately at this time and plans to have a memorial service at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
