Henry “Hank” Siwecki, 76, of Vanderbilt, passed away with his family by his side Sunday, December 27, 2020.
He was born the son of Joseph and Anna (Balients) Siwecki, in Grayling Michigan, on April 12, 1944.
Henry loved to be outside, hunting, or just being on the farm hanging out with the goats. He was a simple man who never needed the glitz and glamour of fancy new things. During his downtime, he enjoyed keeping up on the stock market. Most of all he cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Marie; children, Cheryl Horsell, Hank (Allyson Kaly), and Lisa Keczmer; grandchildren, William (Stacie) Horsell, Elise (Taylor) Carey, Hunter and Tanner Siwecki, Dakota and Christian Keczmer; and great-grandchildren Emma Horsell-Sehl, Berkley Horsell, Kaden Ptasnik, and Millie Marie Carey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Otsego County Food Pantry, PO Box 1976, Gaylord, MI 49734.
Due to the current COVID restrictions the family wishes to keep everyone’s family safe and has requested to remember Hank privately at this time. A memorial service may be held in the spring. Please go to www.nelsonsfuneralhome.com for updates.
Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

Siwecki family my heart goes out to all of you. Sending healing thoughts and prayers.
Marie and family my thoughts and prayers to all of you. I am sad to lose my friend Henry. Get it done was his motto . He had the ability to problem solve challenges on the fly. I can vividly remember pulling up on a job site in the middle of a snow storm only to find Henry 50ft in the air setting trusses . When I questioned his sanity he said it was too dangerous for the crew to be up there. No kidding Henry. Thanks for all your help over the years and you definitely will be missed.
Marie and family. My deepest Sympathy on the passing of Henry.

Marie, Cheryl, and Elise. Our prayers are with you for the passing of Henry. He made a lasting impression on us with his hard work ethics and quality workmanship. Working with him when we were first married established a model of leadership. Also for the love of family and community. It is hard to believe that was 40 years ago. May Henry rest in peace.
