Helen Margaret Ochs, age 101, a life time resident of Wolverine, passed away on April 30, 2018.
Helen was born August 18, 1916 in Wolverine MI to William and Minnie Smith. On November 19, 1934 she married the love of her life George Ochs Sr. She enjoyed mowing the lawn with her lawn tractor, going to the woods with her sons to gather her winter’s wood and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her children, Ralph (Doreen) of Wolverine; Mary Hartwick of Wolverine; Helen Jane (Kenneth) and Charlotte (Douglas) of Stephenson; Lyle of Wolverine and Judy Ann (Clayton) of Afton; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, and many nieces.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr. in 1977, and her son George Jr. in 1999.
A funeral service will be held Friday May 4, 11:00 AM at Nelson Funeral Home with a public visitation starting 10:00 AM. Following the funeral service there will be a graveside service at the Wolverine Silver Lake Cemetery.
