Gisela Ruth Norey, 89, of Gaylord formerly of Port Huron, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to George and Erna (Henke) Feuerlein on March 3, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in the area. Gisela was a graduate of Wayne State University.
Gisela worked for Ford Motor Company as an executive accountant. She loved gardening, canning, watching birds, doing puzzles, playing board games and music. She was a church organist all of her adult life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 2020, and daughter Cheryl Ruth Norey.
Gisela is survived by her sons, Rick (Terri) Norey of Mancelona, MI and Dan (Millie) Norey of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Jeff (Megan), Jackie (Jake) White, Evan and Nicole Norey, and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 830 S. Otsego Ave., Gaylord, MI 49735.

I am so sorry for your loss. I’ll never forget the sight of Gisela scolding greedy pelicans that were trying to steal the family’s catch of fish down in the Florida Keys! She was both kind and practical and I appreciated knowing her.
