Ginger Lou (Rogers) LaForge, age 64, beloved mother of two, passed away on December 27, 2021, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 22, 1957, to Hersey and Bonnie (Fuller) Rogers in Lakeview, MI, and grew up in Edmore, MI.
Ginger was a seamstress and was very talented. She loved helping people decorate their homes and enjoyed shopping for others as well as herself. She enjoyed nights going out to eat with her friends and family.
She was very proud of her children and loved her family dearly. She considered her mother and brother “her world” for many years. Many people fondly remember her as being the “big sister,” even if they were not related, as she was always taking care of and protecting those around her.
Ginger also had an affinity for fixing things and loved working on motors and cars.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie; her stepfather, Donald Fuller; two daughters, Danae Christie and Danielle (Todd) Collen; grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Jaden, Craig (Susie), Amber, and Caden; great-grandchild, Craig; brothers, Randy (Carrie), Troy and Jeff Rogers; stepbrothers, Randy Fuller and Donald Fuller Jr.; special friends, Corrine (Paul) Olsen, Lebeth Nester, and Gerilynn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Grandpa and Grandma Williams; her father, Hersey; and her beloved cousin, Todd.
There will be a celebration of life held on February 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post #2292, 1490 E Main St, Edmore, MI 48829.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the family, through the Nelson Funeral Home, to assist with funeral expenses.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

You have been in the Moore family thru your Mom and Grandma Verle. We all have enjoyed your laugh and love of life. Mike and I will miss you. You told us you were ready, but even that was too soon for us. I know you and God had conversations and now you are in his care. God, take care of Ginger for us.
Ginger, always a smile on her face, a twinkle in her eyes, and ready to laugh. She was a strong woman evident by the messages shared. Gone from lives here too soon, but we are glad her destination is glorious.
Ginger, I will always remember the fun times we had together. Your laughter was contagious and I’ll never forget the day you told me how much you admired me. Thank you for being in my life you left too soon Rest In Peace until we meet again!
