Delores Fullmer, 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with her Lord, February 3, 2018 after a short illness.

Delores was born in Petoskey, on April 25, 1928 to Marino and Mary (Haines) Sik.

She married William Fullmer on October 23, 1948 in Petoskey, Michigan and raised their family in Gaylord.

Delores enjoyed a variety of activities including ceramics, card making, cooking, knitting but most of all, participating in church activities at the First United Methodist Church in Gaylord, where she was a member for nearly seven decades.

After many years, Delores retired from Gaylord Community Schools where she held several positions.

Delores is survived by three sons Norm (Mary) Fullmer, Robert (Ruth) Fullmer and Jeff (Nazan) Fullmer, grandchildren Matt(Jennifer) Fullmer, Todd(Rachel) Fullmer, Muge Ayla and Zeynep Alya, great grandchildren Jase, Jack, Ian and Hailey and brother-in-law Lowell Volden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, brother Marino Sik Jr. and sister Joan Volden.

A celebration of Delores’s life will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11AM from the First United Methodist Church in Gaylord.

Visitation at the church will take place on Saturday beginning at 9 AM until the time of service.

Contributions in memory of Delores may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Michigan through Nelson Funeral Home, P O Box 1548, Gaylord, Michigan 49735.
