Francis J. “Frank” Piasecki, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Gaylord, MI.

Frank was born on August 4, 1941, in Gaylord, MI, to John and Carrie (Wojciechowski) Piasecki.

He graduated from St. Mary Cathedral School of Gaylord and shortly thereafter, he spent two years in the army.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman who was always hunting for morels, deer, and birds. He also loved to be by the water throwing in a fishing line. He was a Past Worthy President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles where he donated much of his time and could often be found in the kitchen on Fridays. 

Frank was also a devoted member of the Catholic Church. His Polish heritage stayed with him as he always had a polka cassette in his radio. 

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carrie; and brothers, Robert and Gerald.

He is survived by his sister Janice; four children, Kimberly (Chris) Stack of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, John Piasecki of Gaylord, Michigan, Beth Piasecki of Traverse City, Michigan, and Kerri (Mike) O’Rourke of Gaylord, Michigan. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Korbyn and Shaelyn; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Flowers may be sent to Nelson Funeral Home or donations may be made in his honor to Gaylord Eagles Aerie #1825 at 515 S Wisconsin Ave Gaylord, MI 49735.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

  2. Janice, I am so very sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. Just found out. Hope you and Frank’s family are dealing with his loss and know that he is pain free again. My thoughts and prayers to all.
