Frances Delores Jackson, 86, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away on June 24, 2020, in her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Cathedral on June 30, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., with Farther Nicholas Cooper of St. Mary Cathedral, officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 121 Winters Road, Gaylord, Michigan. Visitation will be held at St. Mary Cathedral on June 30, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. for family and noon for guests.

Frances was born in Southeast Michigan, to Joseph and Ann Siwecki, on November 11, 1933.  She graduated from Vanderbilt High School, married Vincent Kujawa, and started a family.  Throughout her life, she worked as a secretary and a bookkeeper.  Frances enjoyed shopping, card games, drama movies, dancing, and having a good time.  Later in life, it was golfing, line dancing, and travel.

Frances is survived by her husband, Charles Jackson of Traverse City; brothers, Edward Siwecki of Adrian, Henry (Marie) Siwecki of Vanderbilt, and Stanley (Theresa) Siwecki of Vanderbilt; daughter, Linda (Darrel) Detzler of Salvisa, Kentucky; son, Vincent (Vicki) Kujawa of Traverse City; and her numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Frances was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; mother, Ann; her first husband, Vincent Kujawa; brother, Joseph Belnites; and sister; Marie Freeland.

  1. Very sorry to read about your wife’s loss Darrel. Please pass on our condolences to Linda for her loss. My wife Linda and I pray that God will relieve the pain in your hearts, knowing Mom is in a better place with God’s presence and Light surrounding her.
