It is with a broken heart that we announce the sudden passing of Elaine Roberta (Kairis) Eckardt, age 51, of Gaylord, MI, on Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Elaine was born on September 6, 1969, in Sacramento, California, to William and Robin (Brakebill) Kairis. She was a 1987 graduate of Marquette Senior High School.
Her interests included being an avid crafter, helping people in need, campfires, gardening with flowers, and taking care of her “fur babies”; Molly and Bella.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Kairis; her brother, Charles Kairis; her husband, Greg Eckardt; and her grandparents.
Elaine is survived by her mother, Robin (Brakebill) Kairis of Gwinn, MI; her boyfriend, Robert Odom of Gaylord, MI; and her best friend of 43 years, Melissa Ann (Caron) Pascoe of Traverse City, MI.
Per Elaine’s wishes, there will be no funeral services, but her loved ones will continue to remember her privately.
