Donald Robert Sharrow, 78,  of Gaylord, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, February 4, 1941.  Don was the son of Robert Sharrow and Blanch Glibert. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1960. He loved his friends and family who he enjoyed spending time with. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, occasional casino outings, and beer.

Don is survived by his 3 daughters, Barbara Morgan of Petoskey, Billie Perry of Gaylord and Donna Sauter of Gaylord; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Don also remained great friends and confidant with his children’s mother and his former wife, Vicki Sharrow.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 5, at Nelson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, or Alzheimer’s Association through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

  2. My heart goes out to his family. I didn’t have much time with him but he was a good guy and I enjoyed the little time we had. He will be missed by many.

  3. My dear friend Vicki, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your ex, father of your girls, and friend. I’m sure he will be missed so much! I know the loss you are feeling, but I pray that he is in a much better place and not suffering. He will be enjoying a better view and the company of family, friends, Angel’s and Saints!

    Vicki and daughters, I just read the obit and I am so sorry for your loss. He will forever remain “Batman” to one of his granddaughters. Enjoyed living near him several years ago,, just a nice gentleman. You all are in my prayers. God bless.
