David Daniel Ambrose, 76, of Gaylord, died Friday, August 17, 2018 at Otsego Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 5, 1942 in Highland Park, Michigan, to Stanley and Sadie (Urbanski) Ambrose. David served in the U.S. Navy from May 1963 to October 1964. David then served with the Detroit Police Department, where he retired after 25 years.
He married Marlene Tuszynski of Gaylord in 1966.
David has been a member of various organizations, including the AMVETS, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the American Legion, Snowbirds, and Northland Sportsmen’s Club.
He is survived by his mother, Sadie Ambrose; and niece Renee Ambrose.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 45 years, Marlene; father Stanley Ambrose; and brother James Ambrose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11AM at St. Mary Cathedral. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service.
