Carol Atkinson, age 66, of Gaylord, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022.
She was born to Carroll and Evelyn (Matt) McPherson, on September 20, 1955, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Carol enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb when it came to flowers. She was a very determined and hard-working woman. She was always there for anyone who needed her. Carol had a variety of pets. She always wanted to be able to travel. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, William and Rick McPherson.
Carol is survived by her son, Donald (Jacklyn) Atkinson Jr.; grandchildren, Madison Perkins, Evan Atkinson, and Grace Brown; siblings, Roger Matt, Roberta Thomas, Donald McPherson, and Lawrence McPherson.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home, on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Animal Shelter, 256 Fairview Rd, Gaylord, MI 49735.
