Bradley John “Brad” Bush of Grand Rapids, MI, age 35, passed away suddenly from an underlying heart condition, on October 8, 2021.

He was a graduate of Gaylord High School where he was a standout athlete in football and track and field. He attended Saginaw Valley University on a football scholarship.  Brad also matriculated at Northern Michigan University and Ross University.

Brad worked for Schlumberger and later Halliburton as a drilling fluids engineer.  In his free time, he enjoyed boating, golfing, target shooting, and hunting.  But mostly he enjoyed spending time with friends and family and being an amazing partner in life to Ashley.

He is survived by his partner, Ashley Ignasiak of Grand Rapids; his parents, John and Peggy Bush of Johannesburg, MI; his sister, Dana (Danny) Vaughan of Hudsonville,  MI; his grandparents, David and Judy Eichbrecht of Lewiston, MI; nephews, Johnny and Brooks; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 1:30 p.m., at the Charlton Township Hall, 10900 M-32 East, Johannesburg, MI 49751 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Animal Shelter, 256 Fairview Rd., Gaylord, MI 49735.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
