Vivian M. Boughner, age 95, passed away February 9, 2017.
She was born to Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Hiler on March 14, 1921 in Lathrop, MI.
She married Murvin Boughner on July 18, 1942 and moved from Birmingham to Gaylord on January 1, 1946.
Vivian was preceded in death by her son Gary (Vietnam) and husband Murvin “Moon”.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Bea (Lee) Morales; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Curt) Wells of Oklahoma and Mrs. Gloria (Gus) House of Gaylord (Sparr); two sons, Delbert of Gaylord and David (Connie) of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Vivian worked for Standard Products for over 20 years. She joined The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1518 in the late 1950’s and became a life member in the early 1990’s. Her hobbies were reading, crossword puzzles, picture puzzles, crocheting, and quilting. She made quilts for all her great-grand kids.
Vivian’s friends and family will gather on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Nelson Funeral Home, beginning at 12 pm until time of service at 2 pm.
In Vivian’s honor, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan or to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1518.
