Bobbie Elizabeth Giles, age 40, of Vanderbilt, Michigan, passed away on March 30, 2023.
She was born on May 1, 1982.
She spent the first portion of her life searching for her other half, Chad Michael Giles, who she met on October 7, 2005, and they were married exactly one year later. They couldn’t wait to start their lives together. They were blessed with their only son, Wyatt, and were lucky enough to raise him together as best friends. Her biggest source of pride and love was her husband and son.
Among many things, Bobbie loved her family, farming, hunting, decorating, and building her home. Her bravery for adventure was a guiding force in her life.
Bobbie was a devout Catholic, and everyone who knew her knew she lived in God’s grace. She had an old-soul and a big heart that she couldn’t hold back.
She is survived by her husband, Chad; and her son, Wyatt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary Cathedral, with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.

Chad and Wyatt;
Words cannot convey our sorrow for the loss of your wife and mother. We have seen you at church every Sunday and always thought of what a wonderful spiritual family you are. Please continue to lean on our Savior Jesus for your comfort and support. Your parish family will also be there for you. May God bless you and take care of both of you and your needs.

To Chad & Wyatt, Bobbie was a great inspiration to remind me to smile every day. She lit up every room she entered. Sorry for your loss but Heaven’s gain. She, because of her faith, is surely in the arms of Our Lord and Savior. You have a saint looking after you now. I will include you two in my prayers that your suffering can be changed to joy concerning her salvation. Your friend in Christ, Jerry Hornung
