Betty Joan Durling, 95, of Gaylord, passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2020.

Betty was born on October 19, 1924, in McArthur, Ohio, to Charles and Floy Mae (McHenry) Winland.

She married her loving husband, Wesley Durling, on April 15, 1952.

Betty was a founding member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, reading, and making trips to the casino. Betty also enjoyed spending many of her winters in Florida.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Lori) Durling and Waveline (Kerry) Hamilton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband, Wesley.

A memorial service will take place at Peace Lutheran Church in Gaylord, in the spring of 2020. Service times will be announced soon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI.49734.

I just lost my mom this October, I miss her so much.😢Kris and Robin lost theirs in the past few months also. They are in heaven bragging about us LOL. Please know I am thinking of you in this difficult time.😘
