Barbara Loraine Sinn, age 68, died September 14, 2021, at her home in Gaylord, MI.

Barbara was born September 7, 1953, to her parents, Clarence and Ruth (Haney) Herman, of Perry, MI.

She married her husband, Dan Sinn, in September 2001, in Gaylord, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Choss, and stepfather, Kenneth Hicks.

She is survived by her parents, Clarence Herman and Ruth Hicks; husband, Danny; son, Josh (Jill Pruitt) Dohm of Warren, MI., stepdaughters, Shelly Birdsey of Traverse City, MI., and Karen Sinn of Shepherd, MI; granddaughter Jade Dohm, stepgrandchildren, Matthew Szkola, Alyssa Szkola; stepgrandchildren, Sean Sinn, Jordan Birdsey, Chris Birdsey, Mitchell Bradshaw, Leanne Bradshaw, Justin Sinn; stepbrother, Dan (Connie) Hicks; stepsisters Debbie (Denny) Knopf, and Peggy Congleton.

Barbara loved her dogs and most animals. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her special girls, Jessica Kuhn and Rochelle Maves. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, 2544, of Gaylord and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1825, in Gaylord. She also enjoyed homemaking, canning, and working with stained glass.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Charlton Township Hall in Johannesburg, Michigan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, Michigan 49734.

    I was never privileged to meet your wife, but from what I see, Johannesburg thought a lot of her! Knowing you as long as I have, I know you would pick a winner! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great sorrow old friend.
