Anthony Alan “Tony” Harwood, age 56, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Tony was born on December 29, 1965, in Jackson, MI, to Kenneth and Margaret (Pipesh) Harwood.

Tony was an Army Veteran and a proud patriotic American. He moved to Gaylord, MI, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, and inviting family and friends to join in around the firepit with a cold Bud Light and some country music. He was always lending a hand and helping when something needed to be done.

Tony especially enjoyed taking care of his beautiful wife, Theresa. His love for her could easily be seen in all the things he did for her. Everyone who visited the Harwood home was treated like family. Tony’s big heart, sense of humor, and beaming smile will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Tony loved his family and is survived by his loving wife, and best friend, Theresa Harwood; his children, and stepchildren, Martin Prus Harwood, Jordan Harwood, Ashleigh Harwood, Colleen (Jay) Bright, James Taylor, Thomas (Michele) Taylor, and Samantha Taylor; his siblings, Matthew (Glenda) Harwood, Lisa (Matthew) Flanigan, Robert (Penny) Harwood. His legacy will live on through his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret Harwood; his siblings Patricia Rahn, and Kenneth Harwood Jr.

A Visitation will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses, through Nelson Funeral Home.
