Michael A. “Nelson” Mallory, 65, passed away peacefully,
June 14, after a strong, brave fight with brain cancer. He was surrounded by family.
Mike’s family and friends will remember him as a hard-worker who went above and beyond to help everyone. He loved living in Gaylord, and living on Otsego lake. Summers were spent boating, water skiing and motorcycle riding. Winters, he loved snowmobiling. Mike always took care of family and friends first!
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ida (Glatfelter) Mallory.
Mike is survived by his wife Leslie (LB); daughters Marissa Mallory, Jillian Mallory, son Austin Berryman; brothers and sisters Pat (Trish) Mallory, Kathy Dornan, Jane (Bill) Hoth, Bart (Peri) Mallory, Bret (Rhonda) Mallory, and granddaughter Annika Mallory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 830 S. Otsego Ave, Gaylord, MI 49735, or to the American Brain Tumor Association, through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
Mike’s family has chosen to honor his memory privately.

Loved Mike, saw him when I was at my cottage across from his. We went to school together. My sister married his brother Pat. Wonderful family. I am very sad. Condolences to all of the family.
A wonderful man was taken way too early.
We will continue to keep him alive through the memories and stories of his life well lived. He was a man much loved!
