Mellon, Marc Lee

Marc Lee Mellon, 33, of Delaware, OH passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, September 28, 2017 at his residence.

He was born December 23, 1983 in Gaylord, Michigan to Dr. Gregory Mellon and Judy (Wojtkowiak) Mellon.

Marc was a kind compassionate person and would always help out whenever asked or needed. He always had a smile, was fun-loving, outgoing and thoughtful. He was a simple living and humble individual. Marc was an avid golfer and as a sophomore at Hayes High School, helped clinch the District Title. He graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in high performance engines and had the ability to tear down and rebuild anything. Marc loved his Honda cars and driving fast. Marc’s family life was very important to him. He was an avid and proud Michigan Wolverine fan. Lauren and Marc made trips to Northern Michigan for golfing, hunting at the family hunting camp, and recreation at the casinos. He loved visiting with Grandpa and Grandma Wojtkowiak and Mellon and all of his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life of 14 years, Lauren Lowry; parents, Greg (Mary) Mellon and Judy A. Mellon; brothers, Russell Mellon and Brentt (Robyn) Mellon; maternal grandparents, Leonard and Joan Wojtkowiak; paternal grandmother, Judith J. Mellon; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much. This love we all share will never go away.

Marc was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Dr. Dennis Mellon, uncles Dr. Jeffrey Mellon and Mark Mellon and aunts Denise Mellon and Valerie Mellon.

Celebration of life services were held October 2, 2017 at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center in Delaware, OH.

Celebration of Life services will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM.

Visitation will take place on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Contributions in Marc’s memory may be made to Ebony Marshall Educational Fund payable to Judy Mellon.
