Kenneth Michael Peebles was born on 26 April 1958 at Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. A longtime resident of Gaylord, and Gaylord High Class of 1976 Graduate, Ken passed away on 20 November 2018 at the age of 60. Kenny enjoyed life in Northern Michigan, an outdoorsman he loved hunting, fishing, and boating with his friends and family. A car enthusiast, Ken enjoyed following NASCAR, and tinkering with his own RC car and boat collection. His love for cars was also seen in his professional careers at Mark One, Totten’s Body Shop, and in his own custom body shop – Ken’s Custom Cars. He is survived by his three children Michele (Ryan) Deveney, Cole Nawrot, and Melonie (Jess) Rich, and his five beautiful granddaughters Addison Jane (13), Eleanor Lee (11), Charlee Ann (9), Opal Mae (7), and Georgia Kay (6). At his request, a private Celebration of Life will take place in the spring, as such, no formal memorial services will be offered. Kenny was a Chevy man, and through the years their motto has changed and currently it is, “Find New Roads”…so raise your glass, tip your hat, and cheers to Kenny Peebs- who is enjoying a much easier road…we love you Dad! 1. I’m sorry to hear Ken has passed, he was a big part of Gaylord’s older generation car crowd. As I recall Ken was always wheeling and dealing, working on some classic car or pickup. When I remember Ken, it’s always talking with a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. My condolences to the family for your loss. Tom Wagar

So sorry to hear this. I went to school with Kenny Peebles and was good friends with Karline Peebles, ex-wife. He was a good person and he was loved by many due to his determination and humor! I wished I could have seen you one last time but I guess I’ll see you on the other side. You will be dearly missed. Margaret your classmate and friend!
