Erma Huber, loving mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her seven children on October 12, 2020, at her home in Lewiston, Michigan.

Erma was born to Nick and Sadie Medici on December 2, 1921, in Detroit, MI.

She met her husband of 47 years, Arthur J. Huber (deceased), on a blind date and it was love at first sight. They were married three months later, and their love blossomed into seven children.

Erma was also known as ‘Angel Mama’ and was always ready to help everyone.  She was a humble woman and a compassionate listener.  For Erma, Jesus came first, then family, and then friends. She gave generously of herself to her church, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and to others too numerous to list.

Erma was an avid reader, but ‘hospitality’ was her middle name.  She was a kind, gentle, and loving soul and will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Constance (Robert) Kansa, Robert Huber, Carolyn (Kenneth, deceased) Mascioli, Paul (Judy) Huber, Marilyn (Dennis) Maguet, Judy (Thomas) Korpal, and Mary Huff (Larry Luckner); grandchildren, Mark, Steven, Rachel, Candace (deceased), Amanda, Dominic, Kyle, Kevin, Hans, Andrea, Jason, Dusty, Lauren;  23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Erma was also preceded in death by her three sisters.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2020, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3060 Casey St. Lewiston, MI., 49756.  A prayer service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, October 19, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston, with Visitation beginning on Monday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Compassion Hospice, 12480 State Street, Suite 10, Atlanta MI 49709.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord MI 49734.

From California, we send our condolences to the entire family. We have fond memories of Erma from when we first met her. It was many years ago around the time Connie and Bob married and then we saw her intermittently, during later years. She was always, kind, cheerful and easy to be with. We know she will be missed greatly by all who knew her, but especially, by her family.
