Robin Alice Edwards, age 60, of Gaylord passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Robin was born on January 18, 1958 to Helen and Robert Edwards.

Robin was an outspoken, generous person who would go out of way to give to others in need. She loved deeply her family, her faith, her friends and the scriptures.

Robin loved all types of music, her animals, the culinary arts and enjoyed collecting and experimenting with new recipes.  She was an artist and loved to paint.  Robin could crochet like her mom, loved storytelling and the art of conversation.  She endured years of chronic health issues exemplifying an inner strength that continually pressed forward through those challenges with hope for a new day.

Robin is survived by her sisters, Linda Lyon, Nancy (Michael Duhon) Scobey; nieces and nephews Jonathan, Jacquelyn and Jeremy Scobey, Richard Lyon and Lindsay (Fred) Alt; great nieces and great nephews Madison, Marlee, Jack, Anna and Nora; and beloved pets, Ginger, and Rosita.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Alice and Thomas Edwards, Veronica Sarko and Edward Orzechowski,; uncle, Edward Orr; cousin, Donald Orr; and brother-in-law, Leonard Lyon.

Funeral services for Robin will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 12PM from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 N. Elm Street, in Gaylord.

Visitation will take place on Saturday at the church beginning at 11 AM until the time of service.

Internment will take place on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2 PM at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.

Memorial contributions in Robin’s honor may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  1. I am so sorry to learn of this. I remember Robin from school, dhe had the greatest sense of humor! Her kind smile and quiet and gentle way was always something I admired in her.

  2. I am sorry to hear of Robin’s early passing. I appreciate your friendship during our teen years! We had a great time hanging out in your upstairs bedroom listening to Carol King, smoking cigarettes, then riding your mini bike down the railroad tracks! Fly free, Robin!
