Edna Faye Galyean, 78, of Gaylord, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020.

She was born in Betsy Layne, Kentucky, to the late Harlan and Frances (Crumb) Parsons, on January 25, 1942.

Edna was known by most of her friends as “Faye.”  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gaylord.  She spent over 40 years working at Dr. Cousineau’s office helping take care of patients and all the other day to day functions.  In her free time, she would volunteer at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.  On the weekends she could be found running with her best friend or going to the local garage sales. The most important thing above everything else for Faye was family, and spending time with them during the holidays or even going camping.  The highlight of her days and her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents and sister Joyce Ann Parsons

She is survived by her husband, Felton; children, Eugene (Marqueta) Galyean, and Melissa (Keith) Rusnell; siblings, Virge (Gilbert) Hahn, Jim Parsons, and Tennie Parsons; and grandchildren, Victoria Rusnell, Ean Rusnell, Sarina Galyean, and Kenzie Galyean.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego Memorial Hospital Auxiliary by mailing the donation to OMHA at 825 N. Center Ave, Gaylord, MI. 49735.

The family will honor her privately at this time.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PO Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734
