Ariel Jean Dowker age 24, was born at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia on January 10, 1996, and passed away on October 4, 2020, in Fargo, North Dakota.

She graduated from Gaylord High School in 2014.   While attending the Gaylord Community Schools, she was involved in ballet, soccer, and cheerleading.
Ariel enjoyed painting, drawing, taking selfies, singing, playing guitar, and cooking. She loved many things in life, most of all, spending time with family and friends.

She was best known for her “angel eyes” and a smile that could make even a dark day shine.
Ariel is survived by her mother, Sharon (Tom) Ellis; her father, Mike (Amy) Dowker; her brothers, Briar, Deklen, Darren, and Lucas; her sister, Ember; and her grandparents, Lester and Florence Dowker and Carl and Judy Peterson.

She was an aunt to several of her friend’s children, and a daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin to many who loved her as such. She was a sister, both blood-related to heart-related.   She is now an angel looking over us.
She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gaylord Church of Christ, 1760 S. Otsego Ave., Gaylord MI 49735, at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Donations in memory of Ariel Jean Dowker may be made to the Gaylord Church of Christ, PO Box 894, Gaylord, MI 49734, to help the family with funeral expenses.

  2. I am so saddened to hear of Ariel’s passing. She was such a sweetheart. I truly enjoyed having her in class. Big hugs to you Briar and Deklen. I pray you and your family. Find peace through Our Lord.

  3. I miss her alot… She was the literally the scent of lavender in all of my chaotic thoughts… No matter what, for a second, your mind stops to calmly think and you breathe…. I loved her like a baby sister. Not shortly after her death My brother Jesse Nelson died as well. My prayers are with you.

  4. Ariel was a free spirit that already had her “wings” here on earth. She was a beautiful young woman always helpful where needed and always seeing the good in everyone. She will be dearly missed but I know I’ll see her again in heaven when we meet!! Love you Ariel and save a spot for me….Grandma Karen😇♥️

Sharon, I am so so sorry to read this.
This breaks my heart, what a tragic loss for you and your family.
    Peace be with you.

  7. Good morning Ariel I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you today. In the short time I knew you you had a big impact on me. You had such a tender spirit and I felt love for you the first time we met. I regret not staying in touch. They told me in county that you were gone. I cried myself to sleep in my cell that night. I want you to know that Dale and I are both sober now for 2 years and we just welcomed our daughter into the world. I miss you. The song The Day You Took The Good Away By Front Porch Step reminds me of you. Today I lit some smudge for you. I hope you’re at peace beautiful girl.
