Ruby Pearl Cogswell, 84, of Gaylord passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday April 3, 2017. 

Ruby was born in Bay City to John (Pete) Sehl and Pearl Robinson Sehl on March 25, 1933. She married Lowell “Joe” Cogswell on Dec. 3, 1949, in Gaylord. They shared 67 years together. 

Ruby is survived by her children, Linda (Terry) Spriggs of Marshall, Sherry (Jack) West of Interlochen, Penny Coulter of Gaylord, Mike (Linda) Cogswell of Gaylord; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, surviving brothers Ron (Evelyn) Sehl of Kingsley, Larry (Louise) Sehl of Gaylord, Robert (Vicki) Sehl of Gaylord, surviving sister Marylu (Duane) Butcher of Gaylord and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell (Joe), parents John and Pearl Sehl, brothers Ted and Dayton, sister Audrey and grandson Jerry Lynn Sanders.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, at 1pm at Nelson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, from 3 to 6pm., and Tuesday from 12 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation

My condolences to the Cogswell family on the loss of their Mother an Dad. I worked with both of them an they were good people, Just remember all the good times you've had together,it will help to ease your pain. Another couple have been added to fly with the angels and be without pain.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cogswell family. We will always remember how Ruby included us in the Cogswell family picnics on the lake (where John became addicted to her Lemon Bars!). We will miss her visits at our picnic table by the firepit. God Bless, Ruby.
