Nancy J. VanScoyoc, 72 of Gaylord passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2017, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 10, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Marjorie Radke.

Nancy worked as a bus driver in the Holly and Gaylord areas., until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and most importantly loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, James; sons, James (Shari) VanScoyoc, Jeff VanScoyoc and Chris VanScoyoc; daughters, LeAnne (Kevin) Benway and Kim (Dale) Campbell. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Robinson, Katy Benway, Alisha (Brian) Watson, Thomas, Haley, Jami, Danielle, Christopher, and Amy; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jadyn, Shelby, Colton, Hayden and Grant.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Rev. John Naile, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday (Jan 28) beginning at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay.
