Mrs. Karen Lee Parker, 60, of Elmira, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 25, 2016.

Karen was born in Holly on March 24, 1956, the daughter of Franklin & Madaline (Bly) Wegner. She had been a resident of Elmira the past 12 years.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed camping.

Karen is survived by her significant other, Richard Parker; her children, Matthew (Jennifer) McArthur and Dana (Dakota) Greenhouse; her mother Donna Wegner; her sister and brother, Laura (Mike) McCormick and Frank (Rhonda) Wegner; her stepsisters Kim (Tony) Rinks and Susan Williams; her grandchildren, Makayla & Kara McArthur and Jordan, Blake and Emma Greene.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shellie Merlino, and parents Franklin and Madaline Wegner.

Visitation at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Contributions in memory of Karen may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, through the Nelson Funeral Home, PO Box 1548, Gaylord MI 49735.

Although I've not seen Karen in many years I have a lot of great childhood memories. Now that she has received her angel wings and is pain free we need to celebrate her life. May God hold each of you in his arms and give you strength to get thru the days ahead. Rest in peace cousin until we meet again!
