Mrs. Clara E. Koronka age 81 of Gaylord died Friday, September 3, 2010 at McReynolds Hall. Mrs. Koronka, a lifetime resident of Otsego County was born in Elmira on June 25, 1929 the daughter of Peter & Julia Ozga. She had worked for more than 30 years at the Otsego Club and was a member of the Eagles club. She enjoyed playing bingo and knitting. Mr. David H. Shann, age 67 of Wolverine, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. He was born in Wolverine on May 6, 1943, the son of Charles and Alice (Bolinger) Shann. Mr. Shann is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne; children, Douglas (Carrie), Matthew (Amy), Christina (Gregory) Ogden, all of Wolverine; eight grandchildren, Douglas, Amber, Kourtney, Taylor, Laney, and Josey Shann, and Rachel and Angela Ogden; great-grandson, Hunter; eight brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Robert grew up in Orion Township in the area of Gingellville. He’d lived in Detroit, Lansing, Southfield, and most recently in Atlanta, MI, where he’d been a resident of Englehart’s Care Home for the past two years. Ralph Joseph Holewinski, age 89 of Gaylord, died Saturday, August 21, 2010. He was born in Gaylord, MI on April 2, 1921, to John and Anna (Burzynski) Holewinski. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith (Wattson) Holewinski. Mr. Russell Jann, age 61 of Gaylord, died Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1948 to Wilber and Evelyn (Schram) Jann. On August 3, 1973 he married the former Sharon Hanback. Russ was a United States Marine Corps veteran, and had served on the Gaylord City Council from 2005-2009.
